About Quarry
Quarry transforms IU research into practical AI and software applications that improve daily life. Quarry accelerates the development of these projects by focusing on creating minimum viable products and shared infrastructure, utilizing IU's GPU-powered supercomputers to advance AI technology. During its pilot phase, Quarry is co-funded by IU Ventures and IU alumni and operated in partnership with IU’s Innovation and Commercialization Office (ICO) and IU Innovates.
Our Process
Spark
Meet with IU faculty, students and staff that have projects that could benefit from Quarry. If you are interested, please contact us!
Evaluate
Perform a technical evaluation and work with the IU Innovation and Commercialization Office to disclose and protect potential intellectual property.
Build
Jointly build a prototype of the idea and begin evaluating performance, then work to shape a minimum viable product (MVP) candidate.
Validate
Work with founding teams to test technical strategy, shape market thinking, and iterate with potential customers to refine MVP.
Launch
We partner with IU Ventures and other ecosystem partners to vet a founding team and then launch a new startup.
